What is FeatureTake Agent?+
FeatureTake Agent is the desktop application that runs on customer-controlled Mac or Windows machines. It connects outbound to FeatureTake Cloud and executes capture journeys on simulators, emulators, or approved devices.
Does FeatureTake run on our machines?+
Yes. Capture runs on your studio, office, or remote machines. FeatureTake Cloud coordinates journeys, creative, review, and export—while Agent executes locally.
What counts as a capture job?+
A capture job is one execution of a mobile journey. Automatic retries and individual failed-step retries do not count as new jobs.
Do retries count?+
No. Automatic retries and individual failed-step retries do not count as new capture jobs.
Do client reviewers need seats?+
No. External client reviewers are unlimited on paid plans.
Can FeatureTake capture both iOS and Android?+
Yes. FeatureTake Agent captures real iOS and Android experiences on compatible customer-controlled machines.
Does FeatureTake replace Maestro or Appium?+
No. FeatureTake is a mobile creative-operations platform—not a QA testing framework. It runs repeatable product journeys so marketing teams can capture moments and produce campaign creative. Automation specialists may recognize familiar mobile-control concepts, but the product is built for creative production, not test suites.
Can we use our own brand templates?+
Yes. Brand kits and reusable campaign templates let you apply approved layouts, copy systems, device frames, and localization rules across every capture.
How does localization work?+
Define locales once in the campaign system. FeatureTake regenerates governed variants with locale-specific copy and layout rules without rebuilding each format by hand.
Can we keep raw captures local?+
Upload policy is configurable. Enterprise plans can use local-output-only mode so raw captures remain on your infrastructure when contracted.
How are app builds protected?+
Builds stay within your tenant. Access is role-based, transport is encrypted, and agents join through single-use pairing—not long-lived shared secrets.
What happens when we reach a limit?+
FeatureTake warns before capacity, queues work where appropriate, and surfaces contextual upgrade options without silently discarding production work.
Can agencies separate clients?+
Yes. Each client gets a controlled workspace with isolated brand kits, campaigns, reviewers, and assets while your agency keeps one production system.
Can enterprise organizations use SSO?+
Yes. Enterprise plans include SAML SSO and SCIM. Agency plans can add SSO and SCIM as an add-on.
